SER are looking for a full-time Collections Officer to join our Head Office in St Leonards NSW.
Your new role is with a fast-growing, leading Australian Financial Services Company who are committed to providing the best service and assistance to new and existing clients and vendors. Working within the asset and equipment finance sector, this growing organisation has an exciting opportunity to join their busy team.
Your New Role
As an Arrears Account Officer, you will be solely responsible for the equipment finance business collections. You will be liaising with clients and finance vendors in relation to overdue accounts and providing solutions for clients. This is a relationship-based role, which will not be collecting via a dialler.
You will assist clients to refinance their payment terms and re-establish regular monthly payments at a mutually agreed rate. You will work alongside the Client Services team, providing a high level of customer service and assisting Clients with ad hoc enquiries regarding their existing accounts.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a firm but customer-orientated approach and the ability to ‘workshop’ solutions fairly.
To be considered for this role you will have:
1. Preferably 2-3 years collections experience in a banking or finance-based environment
2. Proven experience in financial services / credit / collections / operations
3. Strong attention to detail with an ability to work to strict deadlines
4. The ability to manage both internal and external stakeholder expectations
5. Excellent written and communication skills
6. Experience in asset or equipment finance is desirable
